Unlike the better known Rose Hip oil, which is cold pressed from the seeds, we make our sun-infused extract from dried Rose Hip fruit. This gentle method of extraction yields a velvet soft, distinctly flavoured oil which, together with the cold-pressed seed oil, delivers a full spectrum of this phenomenal plant. Loaded with a higher Vitamin C content than citrus, the Rose Hip fruit is rich in folate, contains vitamins A, B3, D and E and flavonoids, carotenoids and minerals, has shown to inhibit enzymes that breaks down collagen in the body, reduces wrinkles and improves moisture content of the skin.

I loved Quince ever since I was a child, my mum used to make creams, extract, teas, bread, and unusual but totally more-ish savoury jams from weirdly velvet covered fruit grown on the knotty trees in our orchard in Hamburg, Germany. Our sun-infused oil extract contains not only the skin hydrating and skin soothing properties of the Quince, but also the precious, protective wax found in it's skin, which, just as it shields the fruit on the tree, forms a protective barrier on our skin. High levels of Quercetin, help prevent wrinkles, reduce inflammation from UV radiation, environmental pollutions and chemical irritants.

Ruba Rubiginosa, or the Lesotho Rose Hip, is native to in the tiny kingdom of Lesotho in the high mountains of South Africa. Although very similar to the more common Rosa Canina, or Dog Rose, this highly prized seed oil contains more essential unsaturated fatty acids and has a better linoleic-oleic ratio (3.3 vs 2.5) important for acne prone skin, where linoleic acid helps combat skin issues, and oleic acids aggravate the problems.  More importantly, Rosa Rubiginosa contains the trans-retinoic acid tretonoin, hailed as a miracle active that restores and regenerates skin tissue, normalises skin texture and decerases pore size, and combats wrinkles and acne. Also contains phenols that have antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties.
