THE LIONS GATE PORTAL: Out of the rabbit hole and past scepticism

Out of the rabbit hole, go past scepticism and walk straight through the Lionsgate Portal – an astronomical occurrence when our planet Earth is closest to fixed star Sirius, signalling times of abundance and paradigm shifting energy flow.

Google 'Lionsgate Portal' and you'll find yourself quickly in the aforementioned rabbit hole. But if you can move past the new age hippie aspect (sigh. It's a hard one what with all that cosmic vocabulary), you'll realise it's an observation of the stars made by humans looking for interstellar connection and life's meaning for thousands of years. It's a science at it's rawest, most complex, spiritually charged, and perpetually vexing. It's beautiful if you let yourself go into that wondrous space.

The Ancient Egyptians observed a special link between Sirius and the Earth when they were at their closest distance from July 26 - August 12 in the Zodiac of Leo: The river Nile swells, fertilising the soil and watering crops. Sirius becomes the brightest star in the sky, and rises with the three stars in Orion’s belt to align with the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, a bright shining hint that the position of those ancient structures of worship where chosen with purpose and reach beyond physical realms.

It never ceases to amaze me how much us humans across cultures, believes and times are longing to connect with the spiritual. What else is there to do in the long game?

Juliana did a beautiful post on the Lionsgate Portal over at @etherealculture last
