WHY I CHOSE THESE INGREDIENTS

Interestingly, combinations of various antioxidants have been found to have synergistic effects, creating formulations that are more powerful and beneficial than individual compounds used alone. Which is why we us whole plant extracts, orchestrating a broad spectrum of anti-oxidants and nutrients to create deeply complex compositions with wholesome performance so that our skin may be balanced, healthy and radiant at all stages of our lives.

APRICOT KERNEL OIL*
Protects the skin's lipid barrier.
Strong antibacterial properties
High antioxidant activity
Hailed by the Hunza people of Pakistan as their secret to longevity, this light and non-greasy oil is well tolerated by all skin types, and has shown significant antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, a bacterium responsible for common skin infections. Oleic, Linoleic and Palmitic acids maintains moisture balance, tone and soften tissue, restore elasticity and support wound healing.

Fig leaves are, in my opinion, highly underrated in food and skincare, and are not used as much as they should be. Fig leaves are fantastic to help ease conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis, and high levels of Vitamin A and C gently promote exfoliation and elimination of superficial surface skin cells, revealing refreshed and renewed skin. Our Fig leaves come from our Kangaroo valley property - we're always too late to harvest the fruit, the birds and possums get to them first pretty much every year, but there's always the papyrus-like, fragrant leaves, which we respectfully hand pick, air dry and sun-infuse for 4-6 months.

An amazing all-rounder for all skin types for rejuvenating dull skin with emollient properties that deeply hydrate the skin while purging excess oil, sebum, sweat and dirt. Mimosa's key constituent Lupeol has been shown to have anti-inflammatory action. Mimosa grows in abundance on our Kangaroo Valley property, where we hand harvest, air dry and sun-infuse the serenely fragrant blossoms and leaves for 4 months in biodynamic Olive oil.

DANDELION EXTRACT*
Tones the skin
Supports detoxification.
Inhibits elastin degradation.
Another very fine detoxifier which you may know for it's liver supporting effects. The humble Dandelion tones the skin, supports heavy metal detox, and has shown to diminish oxidative damage (1)

MEADOWSWEET EXTRACT* 
Soothes inflammation.
Unclogs pores.
Tones dull skin.
Contains natural salicylic acid, which soothes inflamed, irritated skin and restores smooth texture of congested tissue while it's astringent properties tone and firm tired, sagging skin.

WILLOWBARK EXTRACT* 
Natural exfoliant and cleanser
Stimulates cell proliferation.
Unclogs pores.
Another natural exfoliant particularly effective in acne treatments, to clear pores, and stimulate new cell formation. I find it works especially well in tandem with Meadowsweet and Geranium leaf extract.

RITUAL

Best to use at nighttime. Wash or spritz your face with warm water (purified is best), and massage a little amount all over your face. Take of with a warm damp muslin or washcloth. 

FRAGRANCE PROFILE

Lightness of green spring, freshly cut willow sprigs dipped in mountain spring water. Lingering citrus notes from the Geranium carry the herbaceous notes of Rose without ever dipping into sweetness. Very balanced yin and yang, masculine, feminine. Refreshing, yet soothing. Like moss-cushioned walk through deep breathing, deeply calming spring forest.
